CALA History

The Colorado Assisted Living Association (CALA), was formed in 1982 as a vision of two administrators of Assisted Living Residences (at that time referred to as Personal Care Boarding Homes) who saw the industry growing.

Since then, CALA has made its mark on the industry and is the only Colorado non-profit association dedicated solely to assisted living. During this time we have developed mutually beneficial relationships between our Community and Associate Members.

CALA is a Chapter Member of the Residential Assisted Living National Association.

CALA Members receive a free Associate Membership to RALNA as well as discounts on their national conference and access to their group purchasing benefits.

Additionally CALA members receive the benefit of having national advocacy on behalf of the industry.
